Greenpoint Technologies, Bothell WA
September 2022 to Present | Visualization Artist
In this role, I am privileged to contribute to the creation of exquisite aircraft interiors tailored for VIPs and Heads of State. My responsibilities encompass designing opulent cabins spanning an impressive 4000 square feet. To achieve this, I employ a wide array of software tools, with a primary focus on 3DS Max and Adobe Suite.
My daily tasks involve collaborating with the team to prepare 3D models and scenes, often working from initial sketches and design specifications. Additionally, I play a crucial role in supporting redline updates to our renderings as needed, ensuring that our visual representations align with project requirements and standards.
Furthermore, I am actively engaged in assisting the Design Team, particularly in the development and maintenance of our 3D prop and Vray material library. My contributions extend to preparing presentation boards and print materials, enhancing the visual communication of our design concepts.
Working at Greenpoint Technologies has been an exciting journey, enabling me to channel my creative talents into crafting exceptional luxury aircraft interiors and bringing them to life through high-quality renderings and visuals.

Eviation, Arlington WA
May 2021 to September 2022 | Visual Design Lead
In my role, I was responsible for designing and directing creative projects across multiple platforms, encompassing print, video, and web. I worked closely with clients, utilizing creative briefs and insights gathered during client meetings to conceptualize, craft, and execute compelling digital projects.
One of my key responsibilities was to ensure that all digital creations aligned seamlessly with Eviation's established brand guidelines. This entailed developing layouts that not only adhere to these guidelines but also actively reinforced the brand's unique style and voice across various visual touchpoints.
As part of my role, I designed user-centered interaction models, created wireframes, and developed screen mockups specifically tailored for websites and social media outlets. This involved crafting intuitive and engaging user experiences that resonated with our audience.
Additionally, I oversaw the direction and design of critical visual elements, including logos, icons, and infographics. These elements played a pivotal role in conveying information and enhancing the overall aesthetics of our projects.
In summary, my work involved bringing creativity, consistency, and user-centric design principles together to create impactful and visually cohesive experiences that embodied the essence of the Eviation brand across diverse media platforms.

Astronics, Kirkland WA
May 2019 to June 2020 (COVID Layoff) | Visual Communications Designer
In my primary role, I focused on various aspects of design, primarily centered around presentations and online marketing materials. This encompassed the creation of visually compelling content and providing clear direction for these projects.
A significant portion of my responsibilities involved generating photo-realistic 3D renderings, crafting animations, and creating photo composites. These skills were instrumental in producing captivating visual assets that effectively conveyed the intended message to our audience.
Additionally, I played a key role in supporting the design process for trade-show graphics. This included collaborating with the team to ensure that our trade show materials were not only aesthetically appealing but also aligned seamlessly with our branding and messaging.
In essence, my role revolved around the creative production of marketing materials, where I utilized a range of design techniques to enhance our presentations, online marketing efforts, and trade show presence.

BSQUARE, Bellevue WA
April 2018 to May 2019 | User Interface Designer
In my role, I specialized in crafting user interfaces for Industrial IoT applications, focusing on delivering clean and aesthetically pleasing designs. My responsibilities included translating high-level requirements into practical interaction flows and design artifacts tailored for web-based IoT customers.
I took the lead in designing data visualizations and infographics, which played a crucial role in conveying complex information in a comprehensible and visually engaging manner.
To bring these designs to life, I created high-fidelity mock-ups, meticulously detailed redlines, style guides, and essential design assets. This ensured that our design concepts could be effectively implemented by the development team.
Collaboration was at the core of my work. I closely collaborated with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, product managers, marketing professionals, and sales teams. This collaborative approach was instrumental in aligning our designs with the broader goals of the organization.
A significant part of my role involved presenting and defending design choices and key milestone deliverables to executive-level stakeholders. This helped ensure that our design decisions were aligned with the overall strategic vision of the company.
Furthermore, I played a pivotal role in establishing and promoting UI design guidelines, best practices, and standards within the organization. This contributed to a consistent and user-friendly experience across our Industrial IoT products.

Panasonic Avionics, Bothell WA
October 2002 to July 2017 | Senior User Interface Designer
In my role, I was responsible for crafting visually captivating, innovative, and functional interfaces for both passengers and crew members within the aviation industry. This encompassed working closely with airlines and aircraft manufacturers to meet their unique design needs.
My expertise extended across multiple areas of design, including 3D design, illustration, color theory, and navigation. I consistently generated clear and creative ideas, taking them from initial concepts through to the final design assets.
A significant part of my work involved the creative concepting and design development of 3D/GUI interfaces for passenger cabins, which were showcased at prestigious Avionics tradeshows such as APEX, AIE, EBACE, and NBAA. These demonstrations not only highlighted the capabilities of our designs but also presented VIP cabin layouts to potential customers in the airline and aircraft manufacturing industries, ultimately contributing to increased sales.
Additionally, I played a pivotal role in designing and developing crew interfaces for Bombardier aircraft demos, particularly the CS100. This effort led to the subsequent use and exhibition of our designs by Bombardier at the Paris Air Show in France in 2010, further establishing our credibility in the aviation industry.
I also had the privilege of defining the visual brand for all Panasonic in-flight entertainment systems, including eX2, eFX, SK2, and 3. This encompassed logo design and the implementation of graphic standards across technical documents and interface screens related to X-Series software.
One of the noteworthy achievements during my tenure was the development of the IFE interactive eX2 GUI, which was showcased at WAEA 2004 to delegates from 38 airlines worldwide. This led to its eventual use and demonstration by Airbus on A380 route-proving aircraft for a world tour of airlines in 2004.
Throughout my work, I consistently ensured a delicate balance between design aesthetics and meeting the practical needs of our customers' brands and business missions. This approach helped establish me as a trusted designer in the aviation industry, making meaningful contributions to the success of our projects.

Microsoft (Contract Evenings), Redmond WA
2003 to May 2004 | Technical Illustrator
I had the privilege of being a part of a dynamic design team entrusted with the creation of technical illustrations for the 2004 release of the Encarta Digital Multimedia Encyclopedia, available both online and on CD-ROM. In this role, I specialized in crafting vector-based drawings that covered a diverse range of subjects.
My responsibilities included producing detailed medical illustrations, providing clarity in complex anatomical and medical concepts. Additionally, I created engaging geography and map illustrations that added depth and context to the encyclopedia's content. I also had the opportunity to develop precise mechanical illustrations, ensuring accuracy in depicting various machinery and technical processes.
Beyond the technical aspects, I contributed to the creation of conceptual artwork that brought abstract ideas and concepts to life visually, making them more accessible to the encyclopedia's users.
Collaboration was a fundamental aspect of our work, as I worked closely with fellow designers and experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of our illustrations within the encyclopedia's extensive content.
