Sagetech Avionics

Working with Sagetech Avionics, an aerospace technology company dedicated to enhancing the safety of unmanned aircraft through situational awareness solutions, has been an exciting opportunity. My role, in a freelance capacity, involved providing crucial marketing support across various fronts.
I contributed to the creation of product videos, helping to effectively communicate the value and capabilities of Sagetech's mission-critical transponders, software, and related technologies. Additionally, I played a key role in producing 3D illustrations that visually conveyed complex concepts and products, making them more accessible to the target audience.
Design and social media support were also part of my responsibilities, where I worked on designing engaging visuals and graphics that aligned with Sagetech Avionics' brand and messaging. These materials were crucial in promoting their products and solutions across different online platforms.
Furthermore, I was involved in creating website graphics, which contributed to an enhanced online presence and user experience for Sagetech's website visitors. Many of these materials and visuals can be found on their website, Sagetech.com

serving as valuable tools in marketing and showcasing their innovative aerospace technologies.
Overall, my work with Sagetech Avionics was centered on bolstering their marketing efforts through a range of visual and multimedia assets, helping them effectively communicate their mission and solutions to their target audience.

The Process

Most of the work I did for Sagetech was showing their products in a dynamic and pleasing way that would compliment the information that went with it in the marketing campaign. But some of the more engaging projects were product animations. Both for current marketing campaigns and the website. This would include the products in the air, it's usage, and range of capabilities. We built a "generic" drone based on several designs from different manufacturers, so that it would be our own. We then incorporated the transponders into an approximate position within the aircraft. I used animated pulses to depict communication from the air to the ground and between aircraft, to show how the avionics on board a civilian or military drone would connect, and its relation to other aircraft in different situations. One of the main points was the Friend or Foe animation.

Often, the relatively small size of the product was important, since it would put Sagetech out from the competitions larger, more bulky instruments. To drive that point home, I would include something easily recognizable in the render such as a chess piece, a quarter or a deck of cards.
